Recent research by Professor Valentina Zharkova (Northumbria University) and colleagues has shed new light on the inner workings of the Sun.

The research suggests that the next three solar cycles will see solar activity reduce significantly into the middle of the century, producing conditions similar to those last seen in the 1600s – during the Maunder Minimum.

Some climate scientists have not welcomed the research and even tried to suppress the new findings

 North East passage completely blocked by ice that the team said didn’t exist in summer months. Oops!

A group of adventurers, sailors, pilots and climate scientists (Tony Heller calls them “climate clowns”)  20 July 2016  .........

...that recently started a journey around the North Pole in an effort to show the lack of ice, has been blocked from further travels by ice.

The Polar Ocean Challenge is taking a two month journey that will see them go from Bristol, Alaska, to Norway, then to Russia through the North East passage, back to Alaska through the North West passage, to Greenland and then ultimately back to Bristol. Their objective, as laid out by their website, was to demonstrate “that the Arctic sea ice coverage shrinks back so far now in the summer months that sea that was permanently locked up now can allow passage through.”

There has been one small hiccup thus-far though: they are currently stuck in Murmansk, Russia because there is too much ice blocking the North East passage the team said didn’t exist in summer months, according to Real Climate Science.

Dear Robert,
I thank you for your very interesting website. Please keep up the excellent work that you have been doing for so long! It would be great if enough people could stand up by the millions, and tell-off the GLOBAL WARMISTS, or the now CLIMATE CHANGE campaign.
Once the very cold weather starts rolling in, it will totally take the UK, in particular by suprise, as we are totally surrounded by oceans.
1963 was a warning winter, if I saw one, with ICE-BREAKERS having to be brought in from the ARCTIC to unblock our ports; and with buses dissappearing into 13 foot snow drifts down in England. I live in Scotland, so I suppose that we can look forward to even colder weather in the coming years.

“Britain faces DECADES of savage winters”

“Crippling blizzards, snowstorms and sub-zero temperatures threaten a yearly dose of Arctic misery for the next FIFTY YEARS at least,” says an article today in The Express.

Climate experts warn a rare pattern of water cooling in the north Atlantic will trigger a chain reaction of events leading to a “fully-blown ice age”.

Although British readers have warned that The Express is not always a bastion of truthfulness, the article does present some valid arguments for strong cooling.

It begins by asserting that the northern Atlantic has been cooling steadily over the past few months, creating “a colossal area of icy water off the UK coast.” This record-breaking blob of cold water could lead to dramatic cooling in parts of northern Europe.

The article also points to the dramatic reduction in solar energy output over the past few months. Long-range forecasters say this decline in solar energy could put the UK at risk of a “fully-blown ice age” before the end of the century.

COMMENTARY by S N Strutt 17/10/15:- EXCELLENT ARTICLE. Lets hope and pray, that the subject matter of the above article, simply doesn’t happen.
However, putting our heads in the sand is also no longer an option!
It is becoming obvious to most of us now, that GLOBAL WARMING must be absolute nonsense, with one BIG AGENDA.
BY SIMPLE OBSERVATION:- This October here in Eastern Scotland, has been exceptionally cold, and making it difficult to work outdoors without winter coats and thermal underwear at times. Daytime temps have been getting up to 11-12 C, but at sunset, very quickly descending, and by morning FREEZING FOG and sub zero temperatures, which I have personally observed within the past week. What we are seeing is certainly abnormal. I live practically at sea-level! First time I have EVER seen it this cold in mid October. Feels more like December. The leaves have been falling from the trees much earlier than normal, and signs are most definitely for an approaching harsh winter, just judging by the by nature itself. JET-STREAM ANOMALIES?

I was wondering WHY it is so cold today, on what should be one of the hottest days of the summer, & yet it has been raining almost every day throughout July, and on this morning in particular at 9 am and yet still at 10 am, the temperature is only 8C!

Where is the promised HEAT-WAVE? 

This is not DEFINITELY NOT NORMAL, and in fact I don’t ever remember a MAY, JUNE & JULY all being  well below average.

Even the BBC have stated that the temperatures in July in the UK HAVE BEEN AT LEAST 3-5C BELOW AVERAGE.

In studying the JET-STREAM certain anomalies become apparent after a while:- The following position of the JET-STREAM is NOT NORMAL for the mid-summer.

Is this anomaly a natural cycle OR is it caused by man’s interference with GEO-ENGINEERING & WEATHER altering machines such as HAARP? I don’t know, but one thing for sure is that if we were to get these same weather patterns that we have had frequently throughout this summer into next winter, THEN we will be buried in SNOW, AND SUB-ZERO temperatures!

Climate experts warn the amount of light and warmth released by the sun is nosediving to levels “not seen for centuries”, says an article today in The Express.

They fear a repeat of the so-called ‘Maunder Minimum’ which triggered Arctic winter whiteouts and led to the River Thames freezing 300 years ago.

The Met Office spokesman said: “A return to low solar activity not seen for centuries could increase the chances of cold winters in Europe and eastern parts of the United States. In Britain, northern Europe and North America, thermometers could drop by 0.8C.

Long episodes of low solar activity were seen during the Maunder Minimum between 1645 and 1715 and the ‘Dalton Minimum’ from 1790 to 1830.

Both periods coincided with a period of colder-than-normal global temperatures known as the “Little Ice Age.”

Met Office long-range expert professor Adam Scaife said solar activity has already started to decline over the past few years.

He said: “Although the effect on global temperatures is very small, the local effect is big enough to make a difference and we need to include that in our future climate projections.”

He said if “factors come together”, severe winters like the 2009/10 chiller which crippled Britain could become more frequent.

“There is a high chance that solar activity of the sun will decrease over the next few years,” he said.

“There is a chance of a repeat of the Maunder Minimum period where sun spots completely vanish, there are already some signs of this.

James Madden, forecaster for Exacta Weather, said the effects may be felt as soon as this winter.

He said: “Solar activity levels, or solar flux, are currently estimated to be at their lowest for the last 100 years.

“On the basis of past solar activity levels it is an inevitability that solar and sunspot activity will continue to fall off the charts in the coming years and decades, including the upcoming winter period of 2015/16.”

Maunder Minimum is named after the English astronomer Edward Walter Maunder who noticed fewer sunspots were observed between 1645 and 1715.

The Met Office insists, of course, that even if we enter a new Maunder Minimum, it wouldn’t halt global warming.

I find it amazing that so-called scientists refuse to see what is before their very own eyes.
